Remarks: Passed Mehetia at 3nm this morning . A tall lonely chunk of volcaninc rock of an island sticking out pf the sea some 50 miles east of Tahiti. We are sailing SW then we wore around to NW to head for the north side of Tahiti. We have a pilot ccoming aboard tomorrow AM to take us into Papeete. Big seas.
