Remarks: Port watch takes the deck at 0800 after being ashore the night before. The day opens with the sun relentlessly gleaming overhead. Small thundershowers pass by bringing some relief. The morning work starts with a deck wash. Nate and Sophia paint waterways on the foc’sle head. Danielle, Curtis and Figs cut in the waterline, touch up the topsides and scrape off barnacles. Dan replaces bolts on the quarterdeck ladder. Lisa repairs and the main t’gallant staysail. Dee and Bruce stitch rope covers over the leech of the course. Clara monkeys around the main mast changing out chafe gear and servicing blocks. Nutmeg the puppy thinks we did a good job. The free watch sails in the Carriacou Sloop Tradition out to Prickly Pear Island or was checking out Anguilla.
