Remarks: Departed Pitcairn Island with a Force 5 wind on the quarter. With the winds forecasted to pick up overnight into tomorrow the crew work to get her ready for the strong winds. Clara, Jerermie, Eden and Leo rig up the the man-ropes on the main deck and quaterdeck. The 8-12 watch puts extra gaskets in the t’gallants and head sails. Inner jib has been rehanked with stronger wind hank lashings. Mangareva is only 300 miles from Pitcairn but looks like we will be earning our way there.
