Lunenburg area friends, as you go through your closets to put away your summer clothes, please think of Picton Castle.
We are about to embark on a voyage around the world, visiting many remote islands and ports along the way. Many of these places only receive supplies a few times a year, so when we visit we like to bring useful goods with us. For our friends in these islands, getting to choose their own clothing in person is a novelty – they’re used to having to order online or have a family member or friend in a larger centre choose for them and ship it. We want to bring a load of clothing with us that we can take ashore and let our island friends choose for themselves what they want.
We will be sailing in tropical areas, so we are looking for summer clothing, things like t-shirts, shorts, dresses, pants, long sleeve shirts and light jackets would all be great. We welcome clothing for adults and children of all sizes, ages and styles. Clothing must be in good used condition and clean/laundered.
Donations can be dropped off at the Picton Castle office at 135 Bluenose Drive between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We will be accepting donations until Wednesday October 26th. Our office is on the second floor, if you can’t do the stairs please give us a call at 902 634 9984 and we’ll come down to collect it from you.
