We are definitely seeing the signs of our moving ever steadily northwards. The nights are getting colder and the water we use for washing dishes is on the verge of numbing your fingers. Still, there were a billion stars to gaze upon last night and another beautiful sunrise this morning which certainly balances the scales. At 1430 today the Captain held a rigging workshop on the quarterdeck. He took us through the history of square riggers. With the aid of a whiteboard diagram he visually brought to life the history he was taking us through. Most of our crew having seen other tall ships at the festivals, could now see where in history where each vessel belonged.
