Day’s Run – July 10, 2015

The museum was fantastic! Inside they built a half size whaling ship with incredible attention to detail. All of the exhibits in fact were very well laid out, informative and interactive. Even better were the hoards of school kids that visited the museum who were actually smiling and happy to be there. On the ship today the new trainees who opted to did their up and overs, everyone had a turn in the Monomoy and Donald fed us steak. Great day all around I’d say.

SHIP’S WORK: Spot painted topsides, waterline and bulwarks; oiled blocks on deck; work on fore upper topsail bolt rope repair; tarred rig fore t’gallant and main upper shrouds.
