What do some recent Bosun School graduates and PICTON CASTLE crew graduates do for Halloween? Why, they dress up as spooky sea-faring folks and help the Captain’s son create a Haunted Dory Shop!
This Halloween, Lunenburg was treated to a transformed Haunted House like no other. The crew got together and over a couple days turned the venerable Dory Shop (building Dories here in Lunenburg since 1917) Dawson and the Bosun School students devised a plan for a spooktacular event. Ghosts, zombies, demons of many sorts, took over the Dory Shop. There were all sorts of eerie sounds and people’s senses were put on edge! All who dared to, came inside. We can say that all survived!
We had approximately 100 Lunenburg kids and families make their way to the Haunted Dory Shop to have some Halloween fun.
We love to share the Dory Shop with kids it used to be kids played along the waterfront as a matter of course. at the last Dory Shop standing in town. We are now conjuring up plans for the Haunted Dory Shop for next year 2025. This year has been scary enough.
