Remarks: The all-hands wake up call sang out bright and early all around the ship. Muster at 0530 and then hands to the windlass and loosing sails. It was a drizzly morning, one cloud burst after the other. By 0600 we had the anchor aweigh and were heading out the St George’s channel, barely able to see the island for all the rain. It was 32 miles back to Hillsborough Bay. By the time we got anchored around 1300 the rain had abated and we launched boats to take people sailing and snorkeling to Sandy Island. The Captain called it “mandatory fun”. Captain and Tammy went ashore to clear out with customs in preparation for our departure in the morning. The snorkel gang came back around 1700 wet, sandy and happy. The off-watch got ashore for the evening and the on-watch enjoyed the peace an quiet of a sleepy Caribbean anchorage.
