Position: 12-02.638N / 061-45.656W – At Anchor off St George’s, Grenada, West Indies
Port anchor out with three shots of chain well in the water in 30’ in hard sand. Anchor holding nice.
Weather: 85 degrees F, sunny
Remarks: Work on the skiff continued ashore with Curtis and Amelia. Fibre glassing was finished on the inside and a coat of paint put on. Clara sat in the bosun chair and prepared the main stay for new baggywrinkle (chafe gear for the sails). Edmund and Violet made a great galley team today, whipping up pad Thai for lunch and burgers for dinner. Donald and Tammy went provisioning for food so now we have plenty of fresh stuff. Newbies Pearce and Ansleigh did aloft training today and were rewarded by a stunning view of St George’s from high up the rigging. We ended with a swim call and 11-year-old Dawson and Finn (his buddy who has joined the ship for the Caribbean) playing pirate with wooden swords all around the ship.
