Remarks: The full moon was high in the sky last night brilliantly illuminating the deck. Nate does a wire splice this morning on the new gaff vang. Diane keeps working on painting the new hatch tarp green – it’s looking pretty spiffy. Clara is preparing to teach a serving mallet making workshop this afternoon. Navigators are preparing to shoot LAN which is at 12:57. We have been roaring along to the west which means ship’s time will have to be changed soon. The weather forecast looks favourable and we hope to bask in the tradewinds for as long as we can before turning her head more northerly and towards the inter tropical convergence zone where the weather is more variable.
