Remarks: Warm and overcast. Donald made tasty cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Zoe spent the morning aloft greasing the topmast and t’gallant mast. Bosun Line continues seaming the new hatch cover. The clock strikes noon and ship’s work ceases for the weekend, but a crowd of eager navigators report to the quarterdeck to calculate meridian passage. It is too cloudy for a noon sight but we are ready for it when the sun decides to come out. The southeast trade winds continue to push us along nicely and the peaceful rhythm of life underway takes hold. Discussion on sailmaking history, design and techniques. Water warming up too.
