Happy new year to all of Picton Castle’s shipmates, shipmates families, friends and supporters!
As we enter 2022, our spirits are buoyed by your impressively solid response to our GoFundMe campaign. Your belief in the work of the and belief in keeping her sailing onward is truly heartwarming. We have especially loved hearing from those of you who have sailed with us about the impact your voyage has made in your life. And a lot more.
In the coming weeks, we will be making the call, the decision, about whether the upcoming World Voyage can set sail in April/May this year or if we will be sailing later. There are an awful lot of moving parts to this. We are checking in with our ship’s agents and friends in all of the ports along our intended route to get updates on travel restrictions. We’re checking in with other key contacts on a variety of other issues too. Things are definitely looking up in the long term.
Whether we set sail in the spring or the fall, we are excited about 2022 and finally getting back to sea, doing what we do! We know that all the great crew who are signed on for this World Voyage are eager with anticipation too.
