Day’s Run – March 3, 2015

Still hardly any wind and bright sunshine, but it’s cooler today and less sticky than yesterday. We saw a school of tuna underneath the jibboom today, and a couple of sea birds circling the ship, much to the interest of the cats.
SHIPS WORK: Rigged and set the lower, topmast and t’gallant studdingsails on the port side of the foremast this afternoon. Sail drill on setting and more importantly taking them in quickly will take place after a power shower this afternoon. The royal yard is
progressing well. The inside of the longboat had a full coat of grey primer today and sailmaking continues.
